Een zeer belangrijke bron met informatie over de familie du Cloux
is het artikel geschreven door A. H. G. P. van den Es, en
gepubliceerd in het jaar 1892 in een tijdschrift genaamd
"Bulletin des Eglises Wallones" (Tome V, livre 3).
Het belang is vooral dat deze man nog over bronnen kon beschikken
in Sedan die nu verloren zijn gegaan (vanwege de twee wereldoorlogen).
Daarnaast heeft hij informatie verzameld bij zijn toen nog
levende familieleden.

One of the most important sources of information for the du Cloux
genealogy is the article written by A. H. G. P. van den Es, and
published in the year 1892 in a magazine called
"Bulletin des Eglises Wallones" (Tome V, livre 3).
It is especially important, first because the author could still
acces sources
in Sedan that have been lost now (i.e. that have been destroyed during
WWI and WWII) and second because he gathered much information from
his then living relatives.

Het origineel wordt van dit tijdschrift wordt (onder andere) bewaard
bij het CBG (Centraal Bureau voor
Genealogie) in Den Haag.
Omdat velen (vooral ook van buiten Nederland) interesse hebben
getoond voor dit artikel vanwege hun interesse in de (vroege)
familie du Cloux, en omdat het CBG dus niet gemakkelijk door
hen bezocht kan worden, heb ik de eerste paar bladzijden
van dit artikel ingescand en op het internet geplaatst.

I found the original of this article at the
CBG (Centraal Bureau voor Genealogie)
in The Hague. Since many outside the Netherlands are interested in
the (early) du Cloux family, and the CBG is not easily accessible
for them I decided to scan the first few pages of this article
and include them in my homepage.
